As the Director of Heavy Lifting of the Band of Bicycles, I often find myself carrying quite a load or helping others find the optimal method for hauling what’s in need of hauling. I get a lot of practice with all of the wonderful discarded, dismissed, and underappreciated items that show up on the side of New York City streets.
