I am back from a five
month excursion in to the w
ild world of the Yes Men and chillin with my 87 year old grandma, Susie and her new boyfriend Walt. I have been a bit overwhelmed by the awesomeness of Brooklyn. Both my Xtracycle and my all girl’s dance bike are in need of serious repairs. The kind of repairs that are impossible with out tools (which our very messy bike shop seems to lack). I attempted to fix my problems, was a little frustrated at how messy our bike shop got over the wintertime and noticed that there are a lot of bikes that need to be fixed and sold. As I was leaving 3rd Ward I stepped in dog poo which smeared all over my broken bike’s pedal. Then I was walking down Morgan Ave when a little old man offered to help me fix my bike. ” I am taking it to a bike shop” I stammered and he offered to go get a wrench. In the meantime I realized that I had left my phone in the bike shoppe and ran inside. When I came out he was not there and I began walking up Stagg Street. A man stopped me in a car and said, “Where’d you get the bike?” I said, “Traif, but I have five of them inside that I would like to sell.” On Wednesday we are meeting up and he is buying them. Then I kept walking up the street and every piece of furniture that Niki and I desired to flesh out our music/film performance, editing and publishing laboratory aka our living room was found within half a block and now resides in my living room. I also got a great message from Fredric King the director of Bike saying that he is in need of a freelance provocateur. I wrote a song about this phenomena a few years ago during my song of the day project called, i don’t have all the information yet. Cuz when you’ve got a broken bike, a commute that should be easy and dog poo on your shoe-sometimes it’s hard to see that there is a much better plan in store-if only I can stay open to all the wonderful plans that are coming my way. I am going to borrow my roommates bike to get through today. I am buying a few multitools, a bike pump, some calipers and a sliding wrench. STAT. Thursday I will be in the shoppe, purging all of the unnecessary stuff in the shoppe and making it as functional as possible. If you know of something you don’t want purged, either email me specifics or come and help. I am looking to make it minimalist, dust free and super accessible.

That music is utterly amazing, and I’m not even into that genre
