This is a triple layer swirly cone of simple honest pleasure, as similar to the tantalizing satisfying flavors tasted last night at the amazing, RockinRaw Restaurant on N. 8th Street in Williamsburg. Self described as, “live-vegan-raw-organic-peruvian-new orleanian-creole-cuisine-with soul.” Clinton and I ate in the amazing sparkling back garden and I sipped tea from their hand made earthen ware mugs.
Okay so this is totally different but wildly complex and satisfying at the same time.
There are very few things we enjoy more than our most brilliant friends accomplishing amazing feats of interdisciplinary public art practices. While we were recently upstate visiting Pine Plains we got a chance to meet up with Todd Chandler, a current graduate of RPI who is in residence at Hammertown Community Space working hard and putting the final editing touches onto his film, Floodtide which will be screened for it’s debut performance sometime in the fall. Possibly at the awesome Empire Drive In Installation he is working on with Jeff Stark as a part of the San Jose Biennial in September.
In concert with a live score from Dark Dark Dark watch a jamble of non-linear swirling scenes from the Floodtide experience that make your bike tires want to swirl onto a raft and float somewhere. We will be biking there. Join Us, then lets build a boat. Then a helium balloon and some play structures that create power.
