Our main role models for pedal power are the five bands who comprise the Pleasant Revolution. May 20th we hosted them at our Bike Salon at 3rd Ward to put the finishing touches on their mobile pedal powered system and hosted the first ever NYC Bicycle Music Festival, which was played at the amazing Tortialla Factory!
We also had a blast silk screening at Bushwick Print Lab A huge thank you to Tristan and Fredric @ Bike Club Games, (who recently created the Tall Bike Joust iphone application) for assisting with production and editing this amazing video.

We love to work on creative activism projects at 3rd Ward.. Last year we hosted a pedal power workshop with engineers Paul and Leif from Rock the Bike. Together we built a four person pedal powered system. Last summer we bike powered sound systems at Central Park Earth Day and worked to amplify MOBY’s music at the Age of Stupid Film Premiere.
Last night we were working with mechanical engineers from the Green Bus Project as we begin to delve into the second stage of development with our system. We are looking to provide the public with empowering pedal powered experiences. In order for this to manifest we will have to invest in our own highly efficient speaker system and integrate a battery. Send any and all mechanical engineers and speaker sponsors our way!
