WFMU Live Bike-Trailer Broadcast Test Run

Vanessa and Travis of the Band of Bicycles ran a test of the proposed route for the upcoming live radio show with Trent Wolbe of WFMU.  The signal is clear, the road is passable, and nearly everyone we passed gave a smile, cheer, or snapped a photo as we sipped seltzer in style.

B& o’B at 3rd Ward’s Bluegrass BBQ

Bushwick Farmers’ Market every Wednesday!

[ September 2, 2009; 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. ] Come on down and get your farm-fresh veggies every Wednesday at the Bushwick Farmers’ Market (Linden St. & Broadway, 10-6).  Sample some juice, bread, and honey, and visit the garden.  Bike parking and minor adjustments/repair consultations will be provided courtesy of Band of Bicycles.  Bike repair station coming soon.

Governors Island Composting and Camping Excursion

Earth Matter, Inc. launched its composting program on Governors Island in collaboration with the Added Value farm and Band of Bicycles during City of Water Day, July 18th, 2009.  We collected and carted food scraps to the farm by Xtracycle, and surfed the back of the Radishes on the car-free island on the return journey.  [...]

July 16th ride to Brooklyn Bike Shop

Band of Bicycles moseyed on over to Brooklyn Bike Shop (1342A De Kalb) last Thursday after some food, tunes, and system tests at our 3rd Ward home base.  Seabeast rocked the shop with accompaniment from Baby Willis, Aubrey sang about how she really felt about her last relationship, followed by an aria from Natalya.

Where’s My Bananahat? world premier July 10th, 2009.
